    Lisssssennnn, get the avocado smash here!! I had it a week ago and to be honest I've thought about it many times since then. It is so yummy, I'm tempted to ask my friend to come back with me tomorrow.

    Staff was very nice too!

    This is such a great neighborhood place. First of all the coffee is great- the baristas really know what they're doing and can make a pretty drink. Second of all, I know the owner is committed to sustainability since both of his locations are supporting renewable energy in the boroughs. And finally, the food- totally delicious.

    The owner is so kind and hospitable, I really love to come to both Black Star locations whenever I'm in the area.

    I got one of their croissant sandwich things but that's way less important than the fact that the male cashier said "Here ya go Boss" when I paid.

    He called me Boss!! Usually I'm called "love" or "hun" or "darling." Which is never meant with ill intention, but I LIKE being called Boss!! Men are called Boss at establishments all the time. I'm a Boss too!! So cheers to you cashier dude.

    And yeah the sandwich was good too.

    Black tea is not great and cold brew i ask for 16 oz and was given 12 oz because I said light ice...

    Staying in Brooklyn and stopped in for breakfast. So good. Best yogurt bowl I've ever had.
